Connecting Mining Enterprises with Asian Buyers: Your Gateway to New Markets

Connect small and medium mining companies with buyers in Asia. Our platform facilitates partnerships, enhances visibility, and streamlines the sourcing process, ensuring you reach the right market for your resources.

Our current clients in Asia include several companies from the Fortune 500 list.

Drill and Blast Training for Open Cut and Underground

We deliver customised training courses to suit your operation's needs. The aim of the course is to help engineers to have a better understanding of the current initiation system, bulk explosives, drilling and charging practice. Trouble shooting is also a main part of the course. We would like your engineers to go back to site and have confidence dealing with any issue they may have onsite.

Explosive Awareness Training

TechLink Mining offers a specialized training designed to empower individuals with essential knowledge of explosives. This training is particularly tailored for professionals such as mine geologists, geotechnical engineers, and underground operators involved in charge-up operations, ensuring they acquire the necessary knowledge.

Contract Mine Management Solution

We can provide first class ticket coverage for your operation both short term and long term.

Drill Consumable and Ground Support Solutions

We have established partnerships with select drill consumable and ground support manufacturers to offer a comprehensive range of products for both open-cut and underground drilling operations.

Stemming Solutions

We are providing an innovative stemming solution (StemGel) for mining, quarrying and civil operations.

Underground Stemming

Underground Application

De-Stress Blasting in UG development

StemGel product can be used to provide sufficient stemming in de-stress blasting applications in UG development.

This method involves firing confined explosive charges ahead of the face, before the main blast, in order to reduce the capacity of the rockmass around the face to support high levels of stress, thereby reducing the likelihood of failure in the skin of the development.

Preventing Sulphide Dust Explosions

Research by R J Enright has demonstrated that effective stemming of a blast hole will contain the flame and prevent ignition of the sulphide dust.

With over 90% water content, after blasting the StemGel product will become water vapor which will cool down the temperature and also reduce the dust generation.

Preserving Blast Hole Collars

Upholes

StemGel product can help protect the collars for the next ring to charge in UG uphole stopes.

If back break happens, collars may get damaged in the next ring to fire and slash drilling may required.

Normal way to protect the next ring collars is to raise the uncharged collar in the last ring to fire. If there is too much uncharged collar, the risk of having collar bridges increases.

Downholes

When firing downhole rises, ineffective stemming can cause cratering at collar area. It makes the next charge difficult due to manual clean up required to expose the hole collars.

Too much stemming for downhole rise firing is also a problem. The stemming material may still block the holes after the previous firing. Hole cleaning may be required by the long hole rig.

StemGel product can provide sufficient stemming to protect the rise hole collars in lift firings and easy to wash out if any remaining product is left in the hole after firing.

If it’s a downhole stope firing, back break may occur and collars for the next ring to fire may get damaged. Hence, slash drilling may be required. StemGel product can minimize the back break issues when StemGel  is applied to the last ring to fire.

If the downhole rise is too long to fire in one shot, StemGel product can be used to provide sufficient stemming for each rise lift while protecting the blast collars for the next firing.

If low density is required at the bottom of the rise, StemGel product can be used to deck charging the rise and maintain the density at an acceptable level.

If a long rise must be fired in one shot, StemGel product can be used to separate the shot into sections. With electronic timing delays, long rise can be fired in one shot.

Slashing Hole Stemming

After Firing Result

Slash firing normally has a long uncharged collar and only the toe needs to be charged. After the slash firing, it is comment to see ground support damage at the collars and jumbo rehab required to make the area safe again. To prevent jumbo work, some sites will grout the collars after charging and wait for 24 hours for the grout to cure.

StemGel product can be pumped 20m up the hole and provide sufficient stemming to minimize the damage around the collar area.

Portable BlastMatt

BLASTMATTS™ are lightweight permeable paper mats prefilled with dry STEMGEL™ concentrate. The mats are activated simply by applying water which causes the STEMGEL™ to react and expand in place, forming an aboveground hydrogel blast damper.
